Nuha Ruby Ra

Nuha Ruby Ra

Nuha Ruby Ra is an avant-punk artist from East London. She has quickly built a following through her transgressive, sermonic live shows (alongside Fat White Family, Snapped Ankles, Amyl & The Sniffers and more) which led to her winning the prestigious Green Man Rising competition – chosen from a total of 1300 artists submissions. Cutting her teeth in various musical projects and art collectives, Nuha’s work deals with sexuality, depression and recovery. Her debut EP How to Move was lauded by critics, with The Quietus opining that “the Bedford-born and London-based artist finds herself in opposition to many things in How to Move – convention, sensuality, misery, vexation – and transforms it all right in front of us”. So Young Magazine offered a more direct summation, simply saying that Nuha is “The coolest motherfucker on the planet”

How to Move was produced by Tony Visconti protégé Erin Tonkon (David Bowie’s Blackstar) and mastered by Pete Maher (Patti Smith, Lana Del Ray)
