Media Giant are an enigmatic, London-based trio formed in 2021. Their excellent debut single ‘Afraid of The Dark’ is a powerful first offering with hints of disco, funk and pop, rounded out by some of the most infectious hooks we’ve heard all year. It harks back to the golden age of new wave: fusing punk elements with funk rhythms, it’s an immediate statement of intent that will hit home for fans of Bowie, Talking Heads and The Rapture.
